Since the first century, the church has made it her business to define herself with creedal statements. Early on, these statements were as simple as “Jesus is Lord!” As the church sought to further define what is meant by this foundational assertion she has, at various important moments in history, drawn up creeds, confessions, and catechisms. The following are some of the creeds, confessions, and catechisms generally affirmed by Reformed Baptists the world over.
